Gender pay gap 2021
As the covid pandemic struck Sweden in 2020 the decrease in the gender pay gap observed yearly from 2007 to 2019 stopped. The results of the wage structure statistics for 2021 show an increase in the gender pay gap of 0.2 percentage points compared to 2020. Women’s average monthly wage in 2021 was SEK 35,100, which is 90.1 per cent of the men’s average wage of SEK 39,000.
