About the table: Wages and wage index for the entire economy are calculated using the National Mediation Office's compilation of the official wage statistics for: hourly wages for blue-collar workers in the private sector, monthly wages for white-collar workers in the private sector, employees in municipalities, employees in regions, and employees in the central government. The official wage statistics for each sub-sector are continuously published on the website of Statistics Sweden (SCB): www.scb.se The annual change in real wages is calculated as the difference between the annual change (rounded to one decimal) in nominal wages and the annual change (rounded to one decimal) in the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and the Consumer Price Index with a fixed interest rate (CPIF), respectively. The level of real wages (index) is calculated by dividing the nominal wage index by the consumer price index. The Consumer Price Index (CPI) and the Consumer Price Index with a fixed interest rate (CPIF) are originally published by Statistics Sweden (SCB). Here, CPI and CPIF are indexed relative to the average for the base year 1995. Two dots (..) indicate that data is not available.

1992

Regarding the table's values from 1992 onward: Changes in wages and the wage index for the whole economy are calculated based on the National Mediation Office's composite measure of official wage statistics. The official wage statistics for each sub-sector are continuously published on Statistics Sweden’s (SCB) website: www.scb.se.
